Problem Statement

Delay in delivery is a key bottleneck that hinders CPG businesses from adopting D2C channel over traditional channels. The delay between ordering and delivery is a crucial factor that has hindered D2C from emerging as the most preferred choice of commerce for brands. D2C requires a logistics setup that differs substantially from what supply-chain managers at most consumer brands are used to. Most D2C brands find themselves in a challenging situation where they were unable to ship to their customers within expected delivery times. The root cause of the problem is that while having customers across different geographies, shipping of the products is done usually from local warehouses. This leads to only customers in close proximity to the warehouse receiving their orders on time.
